It was a great size, but sadly at that point cheap Android tablets were, frankly, badly underpowered.
This year, it seems, they are not. I bought one of these, which dual-boots between Android and Windows*.
It is awesome.4GB of RAM means that it switches instantly between applications and runs incredibly fast. Enough storage to keep me very happy. Runs for several hours of comic reading, and has a decent IPS screen the size of a trade paperback.
I also picked up a keyboard for it. From GearBest. It works really well as a protector for the screen, and is magnetic so it slots instantly into place.
