Looks like I'm not alone - the average age of my readership is 30, and the average age at which they read their defining book is 17.

Which shouldn't be entirely surprising, as we get older it gets harder for books to make as much of a difference to us - we've absorbed so many ideas that it's harder for a new idea to be _as new_ as the ones we read when we were younger.
