I just added my details to the NHS Organ Donor Website.
I'd advise you to do the same, only you need no identification to do so and there's not even a password/user ID set up, so I can just do it for you.
(Yes, terrible computer systems annoy me)
My only hope is that they will now write to me to confirm that it was _me_ that wanted all my organs given away. |

Well, it isn't up to you anyway, it's up to your next of kin.
All the register and donor cards do is give the NHS something they can show to your next of kin to indicate your wishes if they're wavering.
Yeh but at some point they hope to change the law on that; I wonder if people will get a chance to re visit the site then??
God that's really bad. This is sensitive personal data so it ought to be heavily protected nder DP law..
well, the personal data seems to be protected insofar as there's no way to get to it...
O Boy, can I get people exhumed to get their organs? The lack of validation is frigtening, next of kin or no. How would you validate, though? I suppose that maiden names should be a cinch, but they probably aren't going to nbe abllem to validate on nyour unattended email. Maybe as people fill out emergency names and phone numbers, we gotta start recording emergency email addresses. I've seen enough bad domain registrations to see that email is a more ephemeral thing than a phone number, tho'.
I just signed George W. Bush up for his donor card.
Hey, what's more compassionate or conserving than giving away your organs?

I'm sure nobody'd want his liver though, or his cold greedy heart.
