I need to know what you think about brains and backups

If my personal computer's hard drive failed

It would be a catastrophe, I have important documents, and no backup!

It would be annoying. I'm mostly backed up, but there are some things that aren't safely stored!

I'm completely backed up - I'd be back up and running in a couple of hours, and my computer would probably be faster!

If it was possible to simply, reversibly, and safely edit a person's personality, I would...

Change nothing. I may not be perfect, but I don't like the idea of changing myself.

Change nothing. I like being me, just the way I am.

Tweak a few things here and then to rid myself of some hangups and things I do that annoy me.

I have a shopping list of things that would make me a better person. I'm gonna be awesome!

My brain is my enemy. It's going down. Once I've finished with it I'll be unrecognisable, but so much happier!

Context for the first one being Colin on FB, who was reminding people to make sure they have backups, because his parents didn't and now they don't have their files any more.
Context for the second one is the poll a few weeks ago about whether people would change their bodies. I really must re-read some Greg Egan...
Oh, and I couldn't think of a suitable third question about brains and backups. Although it would be really useful sometimes to have a better search facility...
