As the article says, it's not about what they're looking at by the time they're college age. Correct representations such as Walking With Dinosaurs, Jurassic Park, and Primeval don't appear to have an effect.
Of course, if they're more familiar with Walking With Dinosaurs, Jurassic Park, Prehistoric Park and Primeval than with Barney (?????) they're more likely to get it right.
But comparing the two pictures, it is much easier to draw a triangle on its base to represent a T Rex 'at rest' (picture one) than balanced on its point to show action (picture 2) This may be more a case of lack of artistic skill than lack of scientific knowledge.
